Soybean Oil is obtained from the soybean (Glycine max) which is an annual agricultural crop in the legume family. It stands out for its high protein (approximately 30 to 50 percent) and oil content (approximately 15 to 20 percent). The plant is originally native to South East Asia. Today, it is mainly grown in the United States, Brazil and Argentina.
