Pumpkinseed Oil is obtained from the seeds of the field pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.), which have an oil content of approximately 35 percent. The field pumpkin belongs to the ground family (Cucurbitaceae). Today it is grown all over the world, for example in Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Ukraine, Russia, China and India.
