Omega-3 Marine Oil Concentrates
After the fish bodies have been processed, the oil is cold filtered and deodorised. The subsequent hydrolysis process releases eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, omega-3, C20:5) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, omega-3, C22:6). They are re-esterised either with ethanol to form ethyl esters or with glycerine to form concentrated triglycerides. The final product is pharmaceutically pure, white to light yellow in colour and has very little odour and taste.
