Our certifications contribute significantly to high transparency, quality and security for our customers and their customers: Within the framework of the audits, independent third parties check us regularly. Our quality and management system is based on the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
Based on this, we implement industry-specific norms as well as product-related standards. Memberships in (corporate) initiatives open up further opportunities for us to develop in exchange with others.

The ISO 9001 standard from the International Organization of Standardization is the basis of our holistic quality management system. It ensures a continuous improvement process in quality management. Working according to ISO 9001 ensures efficient processes and high-quality, safe products.

The terms natural substance and natural raw material are not legally defined. Cosmetic products according to Cosmos approved Raw Materials offer end consumers credible products of natural origin. The COSMOS standard regulates the permitted manufacturing processes and the origins of the raw materials. It thus covers the entire value-added chain of cosmetic products.

Cosmetic products cannot be certified according to the EU Eco-Regulation. Nevertheless, Cosmos Organic certified enables safe organic cosmetic products for consumers. The underlying standard is based on the requirements of the EU-Eco-regulation, supplemented by environmental effects during production. COSMOS illuminates the entire value-added chain of a product.

Organic stands for products derived from ecological cultivation, including non-food items such as cosmetic organic oils and waxes. These products are manufactured in accordance with the provisions of the EU Organic Regulation. Independent inspectors regularly audit all facilities throughout the value chain to ensure compliance with the legal requirements for organic products.

The NATRUE label creates a verifiable, international standard for natural and organic cosmetics. Products with NATRUE certification consist of 100% natural, derived natural and nature-identical ingredients. The standard guarantees that no substances from GMOs, silicones, parabens, microplastics, synthetic fragrances or mineral oils are used in product formulations. All NATRUE certifications are carried out by independent third parties.

Cosmetic raw materials according to NATRUE approved Raw Materials offer end consumers credible products of natural or near-natural origin. The products are approved according to the NATRUE standard by independent third parties by means of a documentation check. Near-natural substances are substances that occur naturally but cannot be obtained in sufficient quantities from their natural sources.

The Halal certificate certifies a flawless, pure and therefore permitted (halal) quality of food, additives, cosmetics and other consumer goods from an Islamic point of view. The Halal certificate guarantees practicing Muslims that they can use a product.

QS (Quality and Safety) is a product certification for meat and sausage products. We are certified for the area of straight feeding stuff (recognition by GMP+ International). Various of our oils and fats as well as low-fat press cakes from oil production serve as high-quality supplementary feed.

Kosher means that food is permitted according to the Jewish dietary laws. The laws have their origin in the Torah, the five books of Moses. According to them, food is divided into kosher and non-kosher. A rabbi carries out the certification in our house, which is necessary to market kosher food.

Bio / EU-Bio
Organic stands for organic farming and the organic food produced from it that meets the requirements of the EU Organic Farming Regulation. Independent inspectors regularly check all organic farms in the value chain for compliance with the statutory requirements for organic food.

As an umbrella organisation, Bio Suisse unites over 90 percent of Swiss organic farms. The Bio Suisse guidelines go beyond the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation. They also include, for example, requirements for packaging materials and more extensive regulations for processing.

Naturland is one of the largest organic associations in Germany and worldwide. 70,000 farmers in almost 60 countries farm according to Naturland's standards, 4,000 of them in Germany. The standards go beyond the requirements of the EU regulation on organic farming and also cover, for example, social issues. We have been partners of Naturland since mid 2020.

The international standard ISO 14001 from the International Organization of Standardization specifies requirements for an environmental management system. We are certified since 2016. Within this framework, we record and evaluate all the environmental effects of our operations, for example the consumption of water, electricity and packaging materials. The aim is to constantly minimize these effects.

We are audited according to the 4-pillar standard of SMETA. SMETA stands for Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audit. SMETA pursues the goal of making the sustainability of value chains transparent. The seal of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) stands for fish from sustainable wild catches. Fish stocks should remain usable in the long term and fishing gear should be used in an environmentally friendly manner. The 28 criteria of the MSC include, for example, that the fish stock is large enough to recover from fishing.

The MarinTrust Standard requires that fisheries operate in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries of the Food and Agriculture Organization FAO and a recognized quality management standard. The catch area of the fish that are processed into fish oil can be traced.

The V-label is a quality seal for vegan and vegetarian products. Initiator is the European Vegetarian Union (EVU), which sees itself as the umbrella organisation for vegetarian and vegan organisations in Europe. So far, the label has mainly established itself in the food sector.

We received the silver medal 2024 from the rating agency EcoVadis. EcoVadis assesses the sustainability performance and impact of over 90,000 companies worldwide in four fields: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis analysts evaluate our responses and evidence to the EcoVadis questionnaire.
