Chia Oil
Chia Oil is obtained by mechanically pressing the seeds of the Mexican Chia (Salvia hispanica L.). It is not subject to further processing. Salvia hispanica is an annual herb with blue or white blossoms. The seeds are white to black-grey patterned clauses (partial fruits) from two to four millimetres long. Originally, the chia plant comes from Mexico, where it traditionally had an important role as a staple food and in folk medicine due to its positive nutritional properties. Today, Chia is commercially cultivated in Central and South America.
