Cycling to work for a good cause
A campaign with long tradition: 45 colleagues from Henry Lamotte Oils, Henry Lamotte Services and Henry Lamotte Food took part in the “Cycle to work” campaign this year. From May to August, they spent a total of 1,066 hours on the saddle and cycled more than 22,800 kilometers. This not only benefits their health, but also the environment: for the distance they would otherwise have driven by car, we were able to save four tons of CO2 – a great achievement!
Following a long-standing tradition, Henry Lamotte donates five cents per kilometer driven to a good cause. This year, Julia Molt handed over a donation of 1,500 euros to the “Trauerland-Zentrum für trauernde Kinder und Jugendliche e.V.” association. The association supports children and young people who have lost a loved one and accompanies them so that they are not alone with their questions, fears and worries during this difficult phase.
As part of the campaign, our most hard-working cyclists will receive a voucher for bicycle accessories and will therefore be well equipped for the coming season.
